Mrs

I was diagnosed with Her 2 + breast cancer in 2011 and had a mastectomy, chem, 28 radiation treatments, Herceptin for 12 months and I'm now on Arimidex after being on Tamoxifen and Femara! I had a fantastic Naturopath during my treatment and I don't think I could've made it through without her help. I would like to get a reconstruction but I have been looking online and I've discovered the Bravo method and fat transfer therapy!! Does anyone know if this is available anywhere in Australia? If not - why not? Thanks :-)

  • Thanks kinsa, I'll have to phone my surgeon and See what she can find out for me? Could you tell Me how you found out about the trial? Thanks :-)
  • I had my first Brava assisted fat transfer in April and will go again in the next 6 months. It was hard but the surgery was easy. Evenn though the results are modest im very happy that i did it. Im in Adelaide and part if a cclinical trial through Flinders Medical Centre. Good luck!
  • Thanks Lana so much! Do I google Cancer Council? How do I get info on that?
  • I am on the Gold Coast and a surgeon is giving a talk on the bravo method next month at the cancer council centre. He uses it so I'd imagine others would too.
