Mrs.R.Teacher

I am 49, a primary teacher, who found a lump on Tuesday December 18th. I live on a farm near Pakenham and have two children 12 and 10. I am waiting on pathology results after a biopsy on Friday and am scared, frightened, terrified etc.

  • Dear Kathleen,

Thanks for your post. Great name by the way, as we chose it for our daughter, although she is known as Katie (or KT).

Yes, blogging is great, very supportive and surprisingly helpful.

    Happy New Year,

  • Hi Mrs R..

Waiting is the worst... but remember 9 out of 10 lumps are nothing.... and if it is.. well the positive is that you have found it and are getting or will get treatment for it.  Secondly, BC is not a death sentence.. it is very much a treatable disease... rough in parts but you get through it.

take care and feel free to ask any questions.

  • Dearest Mrs R So sorry that you have had to go through this too, waiting for results is the worst, it just feels like you are in limbo, no going forward, not going back just watching the clock tick. It is a scary thing, however there is still the chance that it may come back as something other than cancer? Hopefully you dont have to wait too long for your results? is it about 3 days? Keep posting, it really helps to let it out and we have all been where you are and know what you are feeling. Take care. Tanya
