MRI Results & Surgery Date!

I was a bunch of nerves about today and now feeling pretty positive.

Good news: A lumpectomy and sentinal node is the plan but not so huge as a reconstruction needed. Opted NOT to have a new nipple made as it just doenst feel right to me so will have a line scar which I am not sure how big it will be...........Depending on clear margins and lymph nodes of course!

Not so good news: There is one TINY spot on the MRI in 'the good boob'

Going in for an ultrasound and depending on how it looks maybe a core biopsy.  My Dr is pretty confident that the MRI spot is just a hormonal thing so not letting myself think about any 'What ifs' at the moment.

Surgery date?  Thursday 29th of May.

Yup. From finding out I have cancer to having it out in 21 days! 

Still getting my head around the fact this is happening! Talk about a crazy (not fun) 10 days.

Really have my fingers crossed for clear margins and lymph nodes being ok and dont want to get my hopes up at the same time!

    I do feel a bit more in control which is funny cos really nothing has changed lol.

    Its funny how everyones stories are similiar but so different. It really is piece of mind hearing of others experiances. :)

    Well that is some good news,and already you are sounding more in control.Its always easier when you have something to work with and towards.You are definitely doing the right thing not worrying about the other boob at the moment.I had a similar thing,and it turned out to be nothing at all.Well done today!
