So sorry your day ws so much suckier than we had hoped it would be.... but no chemo, and no node activity, is great news.
I'm awaiting genetic testing too...that would be the genetic testing I've been asking for over a decade and being told not relevant because only my paternal grandmother died of it in her 30s,....but then post surgery all of a sudden it became recommended.
If my recall is right...there is no such thing as a you have it or you don't result for this test. You get a you have it, or you get a we can't be sure you don't because you may have a different strain/the techonology is not there to test yours yet/it's a false negative blah blah blah. And they only pick up 10 per cent of BRCA1 and 2...does this match up with what you've been told?
Not looking forward to my own visit to this part of the waiting room.
I hope you find your inner patience gene. Or the self denial, nothing you can do about making the results come quicker gene, so just push it out of your thoughts for a while gene.
But really, I think it's great we have this sort of genetic testing to guide us on decisions that can shape our lives, and futures, in a hopefully positive way.
Wishing you all the very best for the next round of testing.
