Today as I was about to pick up my daughter from her first day of high school, my oncologist calls..."I need to speak to you Celeste..do you have anyone with you right now? Can you sit down please......
Hi Celeste
Yeah a bit scarey about the hospital visit. It has knocked me for a six in the headspace side of it. Just not sure what to do about things. See the oncologist tomorrow and get results of the CT and blood tests and see where we go from here.
My daughters and I do the music thing too. I love to sing badly and they end up in fits of laughter.
One of the things we did when I was first diagnosed was to get a huge canvas from the Reject Shop and some paint. I just felt I needed to draw something, anything. It didn't even end up being about cancer. Anyway my girls came into the kitchen while I was drawing on it and asked if they could draw something too. So we all drew on it. None of it even matches up with anything. It is one big canvas with so many individual ideas. We stayed up til 3am just drawing, laughing and singing. That canvas now hangs in our hallway. I call it our release. It is amazing what you can come up with.
Hope all settles for you.
Take care.
