Yesterday I had great news from my Oncologist at my 6 month checkup - all bloods were fine and I am promoted to a 12 month checkup!  It was such a relief - like all of us, I am always nervous for days beforehand.  To celebrate, my husband has booked an amazing holiday for a joint Christmas present.

My Oncologist has recently started a website with free cutting edge lifestyle information for cancer patients and their families.  A lot of it is already on our wonderful BCNA site, but there are some interesting findings as well.  As he is deeply into international research it is well worth having a look.  (He does not know I am posting this but feel sure he will not mind.)

He runs the major breast cancer centre - HOCA - on the Gold Coast.

    Thank you.  I so hope that you will get the same as soon as possible - you deserve it.  I was so relieved that they decided a past infection was responsible for your recent troubles. 

    Wish I was close enough to come to one of your lovely get-togethers in Perth - your table looked wonderful!

    Good to hear from you.    Have you finished your AC yet??  I hope the nausea stayed away for you for the last treatments.

    What a great trip - we are all kids at Disneyland - what a terrific way to celebrate.  Roll on June! 

    Our trip is to Africa, to the Masai Mara - 3 different places to go on safari. Afterwards we sail home on the Queen Mary.  For us it's Roll on January!

    How is your throat?  Hope the glands are better now.  Your link to Jennifer Griffin's blog was great - read it through from the time she was diagnosed as we have the same type of bc.  She is quite a woman, and so positive.  It was a really good read with some good links.

    I hope your eyes are feeling better, and the eyeshadow is working on the brows - we learn a lot on this trip.   

    Hope the next 4 weeks goes smoothly for you - and then you've finished chemo!!  That's a milestone - something to celebrate, too!  I will be following your progress.  All the very best,
