Hi Lea, I am an old North Shore trained nurse. (1977 to 1980). It is a bit old, but there have been major renovations happening, which should be about finished now. My dad had surgery there for a broken pelvis about 4 years ago. It was a bit daggy, but he was very well looked after, and had no complaints at all with the nursing care. He had no issues with infections or anything bad at all. ( they still had the burnt orange coloured dinner trays that were brand new when the brown building opened in 1978.) I'm sure the new building will be very modern and nice inside. Your mum will be very well looked after. Good luck for her surgery. What date is she booked in for? Love Chris xx
