Media opportunity: Inflammatory breast cancer (IBC)

Hello,

I have been approached by a freelancer journalist who writes for women's magazines (such as New Idea and That's Life) and is looking to do a story on inflammatory breast cancer (IBC).

She is seeking women with IBC who would be happy to share their story.  They would need to do an interview over the phone and provide photos for publication.

If this is something you are interested in and comfortable doing , please comment below or send an email to [email protected]

  • Hi Deb,

Thanks so much for putting your hand up. I've been really overwhelmed with the response to this media call and shows how keen women are to spread the word about IBC.  Will defintiely be in touch with any future opportunities.

    Kind regards, Laura

  • Hi

I am a Community Liason with BCNA and had already indicated I was willing to help at any time.

Unfortunately, living in Queensland, most events etc. do not happen here.

Let me know if I can help in the future.

  • Hi, I realise I've missed out this time but if anyone else is needed in the future, I'm willing to help too.  I was diagnosed June 2013.

  • Hello Reenie,

Thank you so much for putting your hand up to share your story. Unfortuantely I've already arranged for another BCNA member to speak to the journalist, however if for some reason it doesn't work out I will definitely get in touch.

Would you be interested in being considered for future media opportunities? If so, we can add you to our list of women who we approch with relevant media requests.

    Cheers,

    Laura

  • Hi

I would be happy to talk with someone about IBC - especially since it is rare.  I was diagnosed in 2008 and live in Queensland.

Let me know if I can help.
