Me & Triple Neg
I was diagnosed with Grade 3 breast cancer in Nov 2010. Triple negative. I had the tumour removed and my lymph nodes were clear. I had a rotten time trying to cope with 3 different chemos , 8 months in all. I spent 3 weeks in hospital blood tranfusions, pneumonia and lumps that looked like the bubonic plauge., still unidentified but gone.
In Nov 2011 at my annual check up the ultra sound revealed activity in my lymph nodes. They were postive the surgeoon said they were away from the orignal tumour and must have been there all the time but were too small to show up in the original scan. They were removed in late November and I was treated with radition only as my oncologist wanted to keep something in reserve if necessary later on.
In March 2012 I found a small lump under my arm, my surgeon said he was surre it was nothing but for my peace of mind he would remove it. It was a dermal metastic deposit. I had radiation treatment first and now have started chemo Xeloda 2 weeks on 1 week off. I have just fineshed my first 2 weeks and feel great, so fingers crossed.
