I posted a blog not so long ago . I recently had the surgery on the 9 august , although I had lumpectomy in 2010 chemo and radiation. Due to my gene brca1 I had a bilateral mastectomy nipples and skin with expanders .
Looked great , quite uncomfortable I unfortunately had some dramas and now I'm in hospital . I have now an infection which there trying to control ( it's pretty nasty on the right side) due to the infection my nipples don't look anything like they did .... they can flatten and be distorted
Or not survive . My wound on the right looks like it will need a skin graft , not trying to put you off because of it
But just take things step by step . I've been in hospital for the past 6 days I was only home for 5 days after the surgery ..... I guess it's just another hurdle I'm going o have to face.
It also depends on the treatment you are doing radiation causes issues if you do it after treatment because of the skin
