I'm scheduled for a bilateral mastectomy with immediate skin sparing free TRAM flaps on Sep 28. I had a lumpectomy last December and have done chemo already. Ended up not being able to do the radiotherapy for a couple of reasons and so now doing this surgery.
2 surgeons and about 10hrs in surgery and about 5-7 days in hospital is what I'm told to expect.
Got the quotes for everything in the mail this week and our trip to Europe next year is definitely out of the question now, with the gap for 2 surgeons and the anaesthetist looking to be around $14,000!
