Mastectomy vs lumpectomy

A status update..
I am having chemo first, have finished dose dense AC, thank heavens.
I Have had two rounds of taxol. Seems easier so far so big yay.
I Shaved my head, after cold capping didn’t work for me. Quite like it! Look a bit edgy lol. Feel I’m channeling my inner Annie Lennox...What I don’t like is the amount of greys that I was clearly hiding. ;)
I had a scan and mammo, to see how I’m reacting to the chemo.
Great news is lump and node have shrunk 50% in size. Another big yay!
Apparently I have to start planning for my surgery now, and am gathering info.
Im seeing surgeon tomorrow.Apparently I could have a lumpectomy or mastectomy. And recon. Do I do recon at the same time as mastectomy?
My question is would anyone be able to point me in the right direction on here for where to look? There is so much info!
Right now, I am leaning towards mastectomy. Want to get rid of this sucker. And maybe recon with flap?
