Even though my husband dropped me in he eventually left and was there for 6 hours having various prep stuff done - everyone down to the young orderlies were very kind and reassuring - theatre staff and my surgeon had that light touch I needed to quell my fear. Theatre has to be cold so they had a warmed blanket ready for me. After surgery had wonderful nurses looking after me .Only gripe I have is hm times my vitals were taken when I wanted to sleep but understand was necessary. Forgot breast nurse visited pre Op gave me heaps of info, a free Berlei bra and a wonderful cushion bag to wear between my arm and breast made by local craft group -was brilliant not only in colour! Will be thinking of you tomorrow and sending good vibes - we mightn't be there physically but we are with you.
