Mastectomy post radiotherapy

Do you mean to have the mastectomy and avoid the radiation? My Aunt was given the choice of lumpectomy and radiation or mastectomy and no further treatment. She opted for the mastectomy. 

Hi just wondering if anyone that had radiation therapy on breast was offered option of mastectomy. I am in that position at the moment any options welcomed
