Feel like a ton of bricks hit me now. Good grief how your life changes in a flash. Went to Surgeon today and yes breast cancer. Booked in for Mastectomy and sentinel node biopsy for next Wednesday.
Mind you, the staff at hospital were so so good, fitted me for anaethetist, doctor, nurse tests etc. They were just all so nice.

Yes,your life literally stops in it's tracks.One minute you are working and living and feel quite good then get told you have breast cancer.It's hard to believe and you don't know how it's all going to play out. Your pathology results will determine your pathway.Make sure you have some button down pjs and shirts to wear after your op.-easier to get dressed.The pain was tolerable but carrying the drain around for a week drove me nuts! Initially I was horrified about losing my breast but, to my surprise,I was ok about it afterwards.You never quite know how you are going to react to each treatment along this journey.Jump on here any time you feel sad or scared cos there is always someone who has walked ahead of you.
