Mammogram results

Question

I'm so pleased to have received the 'all clear' from my latest mammogram! Not a cancer cell in sight in my breasts, yay!. I often wondered whether a mastectomy would have made any difference to my diagnosis second time around...but statistics show that there is no difference when comparing lumpectomy to mastectomy as far as cancer&nbsp;recurrence goes. I guess my mammogram results confirm this...it never came back in my breasts.
So here I am with secondary breast cancer, yet no breast cancer in my breasts...seems bizarre in some ways. Oh well, I'm not complaining...just glad I get to keep my 'girls'...although I'd love a new set of lungs if anyone is offering, lol! :D

I am so happy that you got the"all clear"mammogram.It's intense anxiety,followed by joyous relief isn't it.I know you still have to live with the lung issue but wouldn't it be nice if those little buggers vacated altogether.I continue to hope and pray it happens for you.

&nbsp;Hi Celeste, I do not know why but your profile jumped out at me. I " feel " your strength&nbsp; and you have done a lot in the time you had the diagnosis of ABC. I pray they find a cure, &nbsp;you never know, miracles can happen. Why not you? New treatments are being looked at all the time.. fingers crossed for you Celeste, and good news regarding no BC in breasts on mammogram.
I still get nervous each year when I have a double mammogram and ultrasound. They do not give you a written guarantee, BUt we all do not get that, so best just to try and live the best you can each day, which you seem to be doing, and keeping your sense of humour too, which helps&nbsp; for sure.
