Lymphedema when using Zoladex and Aromasin?

I have just received my treatment plan from my oncologist.
Zolodex (Goserelin) injections and Aromosin (Exemestane).
After reading my "take home" printout of side effects Im concerned to read that one of the early onset symptons could possibly be swelling of hands and feet.  Since I have had a full axillary clearance, this seems to concern me in relation to possible lymphedema.  I do not suffer from lymphedema at the moment (my axillary clearance was performed 12/6/17).
Am I worried about something that I shouldnt be?  Back to oncologist Thursday.
Thanks.

  • Hi I  have just finished Zoladex.  An injection every 4 weeks x 26. I didn't suffer swelling. I did get the runs when I had the injection on the left side of the abdomen.  But having said that it doesn't follow that you will be the same.
    We all react differently.
You can't put your mind into the side effects as you may only have one or even none.   Remember they are doing their best to rid you of any stray cells and improving health outcomes.
    Take care
  • Hi @LisaO, I'm already on zoladex and have not noticed any swelling of hands and feet. I will be put on tamoxifen after radiation. I will be having mastectomy and full axillary clearance in August. I guess we just have to put up with all this Crap and hope for the best.
