Hi GM
I had a left masectomy and 10 lymph nodes removed with 6 showing positive for cancer 5 weeks ago now. Although my body showed to be free of any cancer that can be seen there is still the unknown at a cellular level and the further chemo and radiation treatments are to help ensure that there is reduced chance of it coming back although as everything there is never a 100% guarantee. My thoughts is just to go with everything my oncologists recommends as they are the expert and also assist my body with healthy eating and daily exercise (which is no different to what I was doing but now that my body is going to be down and tired I am hoping to maintain some sort of light exercise). Everybody is different but ask your treatment team questions and sometimes I find I dont ask on the initial visit but then ask the next time. Best wishes Wendy.
