Lumps n bumps
quick question which is probably irrelevant but for moving forward. If I have lumps that pop up again is my go first course of action or breast care nurse at hospital? Asking generallybut I have another lump which might be a cyst ? Anyway have gp appointment in the morning but nervous as all f*** right now.

- poodlejulesMember@DearB. I felt a lump in the cancer boob a year on, saw my surgeon from the public system in his rooms, had mammo and ultrasound the same day and it turned out to be necrosis (dead tissue) most likely from radiotherapy . No action taken and it's gone away on its own. Good luck with it all!
- arpieMemberI feel for you re your GP leaving, @DearB ... mine has left Forster for Melbourne, Vic somewhere! :( She found my lumps during a routine pap smear (she suggested she check my boobs at the same time - otherwise it would have still been growing steadily as we speak!)
She was wonderful thru all my procedures, suggesting my surgeon - and even chatting with me for 1/2hr+ when I bumped into her in the shops, post op! So I am seriously missing her! I haven't decided who to see yet, in her place! :(
All the best for your checks xx - kmakmMember@DearB Mine left her surgery, which is a five minute walk from my house, half way through my treatment. Took me 15 years to find a decent GP. I now drive 35 - 40 minutes to her.
- SisterMemberI know how you feel - mine moved to Orange in January - a bit too far from Adelaide for appointments!
- DearBMemberthanks so much everyone for the well wishes and words of wisdom. Will let you know how it goes. Devastated that my gp is leaving
- kmakmMemberErring on the side of caution is good.
- VangirlMember@DearB good stuff. Fingers crossed for a good outcome xx
- SisterMemberGlad it's not going to take too long. Veg away!
- DearBMemberHave mama and ultrasound booked for Wednesday. Origannly booked for 4pm tomorrow but soon person sick so changed to Wednesday. Dr doesn't think it's anything but said he will err of side of caution. Feeling better about that now to tell my husband I am having another scan. Later going to have a veg on the couch first...
- arpieMemberAll the best, @DearB - my girlfriend is going thru this right now (15 years post BC) with lumps in her armpit. She's had MRI & other tests & they've decided they are a type of cyst which are being removed next week.
Fingers crossed, yours are the same. xx
