Hi there i had triple neg bc may 16 my options were have lumpectomy chemo and rads or mastectomy chemo and no rads I chose the latter as the less treatment the better I then took the other boob off as a preventative as my guts told me too. No regrets from me I work as a nurse and heard too many stories about it coming back in the same boob or ladies getting it in the other boob so I’m happy with my decision. But bear in mind I had a 3cm tumor no lymph nodes involved and all,my scans were clear and was told Yes it can recur somewhere else in the body but my chance of this is low now since having chemo and having the double mastectomy. I chose to have done what is right for me and there will be plenty of advice for you on here lovely My best advice is be guided by your team but trust your guts too. Margie x
