Lump gone
I am now back home after the mapping yesterday morning and surgery in the afternoon. There is not much pain but just need to take it easy. So glad the lump is gone and hopefully the test results will...
Hi, I hope that if you do have to have Chemo it is a walkover for you, as I gather it is for quite a few lucky people. There is no reason why it shouldn't be, but do be aware that fatigue and other symptoms that might be a problem for a part or all of each cycle can make it hard to concentrate, and leave you very emotionally vulnerable and utterly lacking in energy. On the other hand it can be very satisfying to keep as much normal structure in your life as possible. But when you are having treatment for cancer and recovering from your treatment is also your time to really look after yourself, when you need to say not just "Can I survive doing it this way? but "Is this the best thing for me and my health?" So you may find it worthwhile letting your employer or clients know that you might need to play it by ear and take time off with little or no warning at times, and to make sure you do this without guilt if and when you need to. I hope your employer/clients are working with you in an understanding and helpful way through this difficult time
