Hi Kel,it's nice to see you back on here!I,know exactly what you mean about being 'over it'.I thought I was going great( and I am really)as my treatment is over, taking Tamoxifen ,going to gym classes and doing lots of exercise. This last week,we have had a gastro bug in our house, and I have spent 2 days vomiting and feeling really terrible.Yesterday,I felt a bit better and had to go to Westfield to buy a birthday present for one of our foster children.I was crossing the road outside the main entrance, and for some unknown reason I suddenly became aware that everyone around me looked normal and had hair! Only I looked like a freak! And a lopsided one at that, even if no one else knew it! I started crying, and rushed in through the main doors ,heading for the restroom, where I regained my composure!I get what you mean about in the beginning, its all new, whether it's bad or not.The headgear is different and looks good, until you get so damm sick of having to put something on your head every day.I reckon that most people feel like this to a certain degree, and after going through so much,it then takes another mammoth effort to get yourself back to where you were regarding weight, looks etc.Dont be too hard on yourself Kel.Treatment will finish, your hair will grow, and you will lose your gained kilos when you have the energy to do it.!Enjoy your lunch and catchup! xoxRobyn
