Hi Tania,
I am going through the same as you i am a single mum who has 2 children 9 and 12 and my childrens father has taken the children on extra nights so i too can get through chemo. But i have been lucky my daughters school have arranged mums to cook meals for us. It has been quite funny as the mums are competing and showing off there cooking skills. My family have gone on with the lives apart from my sister in law who has also cooked for me. Maybe you need to ask for more help i have found people when they see you, believe if you look well enough, you dont need help.
Join a support group, contact Otis foundation who offer free country accommodation and arrange time away for you and your daughter when you are feeling better.
