Lock and load

Glad I found you all, heading down the mountain into the valley of chemo this Thursday,

The list of side effects is a little daunting yet all you brave people have done it or are doing it.

I started fasting tonight as I want my body ready.

So many things going on in my head.  Thank God for work as it is stopping me from spinning.  Thank God they got it all.  Thank God I get to see my little 1 yr old granddaughter grow up.

I can do this

  • Sorry i missed your post before your first session, But hope it went well, and you are coping, just remember take time for yourself and don't push the limits, this is YOU time. Also something to remember although everyone on here has done the journey, we have all travelled it differently, there is no right or wrong way, only whats best for you, as goes for side effects, but that is why this is such a great support site, not only can we support each other, but there is normally someone on here who has had the same treatment, so please remember no questions are stupid, if there is anything that you want to ask, just yell out, and that goes not only with sharing your cancer treatment, but your tears, laughter, hopes and fears, we are all here for you.

Take care and keep in touch when you are up to it.

    Regards Moira

  • Just a quick message to say I hope today (Thurs 18/10) went well for you with your first dose of chemo.

I reckon it's a bit scary the first time, but once you know "the lay of the land" so to speak, then you'll feel a lot more comfortable.

I'm sure the staff at whatever facility your going to (which is where by the way) will make you feel comfortable.

Just remember to drink lots of water and if you feel nauseous take your tablets (I assume you they gave you some).

Let us know how you went.

    cheers

    Helen
