Liver count

hey I haven't been on for awhile as still going through treatment since April
Currently on 6th Taxol next week and need to get an ultrasound for my liver as normal ALT IS (5-30)
mine is 155.  Iv been coping really well however a little afraid of what they'll find ....... Im hoping it's the effects / toxins from chemo and not the spread of breast cancer .... as am triple negative.
What I really want to know is have any of you experienced liver damage from thee chemo ?
  • My liver count elevated on one of the first chemo doses, but evened out again. It was a bit up and down during taxol. All settled down now 6 weeks after chemo.
The Onco was a bit concerned at the first count, but relaxed when they dropped again.
I have had two CT scans to check the liver, some strange patches, but they aren't concerned, not thought to be cancer related. I have non alcoholic fatty liver disease too, so liver enzyme count can be up and down.
  • My elevated liver enzymes turned out to be a fatty liver and I rarely drink. Hang in there.
  • Mine went up after chemo as I'd whacked on geaos ofcweight during it then lost it quickly after ...pushibg the liver enzymes up. So if you've had sudden weight changes upbor down it could have imoact. The liver scan will just clarify things. Let us know hiw it goes.
  • I actually wrote more above however did not post ... I have an insatiable appetite and gained weight so hopefully this is sort if the liver count .... will update next week
    thank you again for posts
  • My liver count went down to 70 after they reduced chemo infusion so results for ultrasound next week.. very happy with results .. chemo toxins kill everything
