Thanks for your blog, you are right in saying that you can only purchase fossil shell flour but this is food grade and it is used by humans as you suspected. If you go into the Plant Doctor it will give you all the information you need and you can also contact them by email.  I know how you feel about the weight gain thing, its a never ending battle isn't it., I had a lumpectamy in May 2010 and since going on Arimidex my body shape has changed completely, unfortunately it has changed in all the wrong places, I do a lot of walking with my dog and I also do a DVD called Fitness For the Over 50's and this combination seems to help a bit and I find it gives me a better perspective of all the down things as it gets the endorfins working and puts you in a more positive mood, I do believe that exercise has a lot to do with fixing the depression we all suffer.  If you would like anymore info on the DVD let me know, it really is great, its just gentle exercise but makes you feel a whole lot better.
