The active ingredients are exactly the same but the binders may not be. Don't think most chemists would know what the binders are. Reactions will differ according to the person's particular chemistry, any other medication, allergies etc. Some will notice no difference, others do. Chemists, like doctors, are offered benefits from pharmaceutical companies to prescribe/stock their product. It's a real nuisance if the brand you are accustomed to is no longer made available, but there may be another alternative which may be worth trying.
