Lesions
Hi All,
just wondering if anyone has been diagnosed with benign lesions somewhere else in their body since bc? Thanks in advance.

Hi Ladies
well I got my results today and all is fine. It turns out that the original radiographer made a mistake when he read the scan. I have a hemangeoma (benign tumor that I can't spell) on my liver that is 3.5cm x 4cm which I have know about for about 8 years now. It is not impinging on my diaphram at all, so I'm not sure where he got that idea from. I'm also not sure where he got a dimension of 1.6mm either.
I should be thrilled that all is well but I'm just bloody furious. My family and I have been through hell over the last 2 weeks worrying because we thought it was a new lesion. I've had a number of unnecessary scans because the doctors were worrying, because after reading the report, they thought it was a new lesion. All because this idiot didn't do his job properly. I took my old scans for him to check against but clearly he didn't look at them. I told the oncologist I was really unhappy about it and she said that she didn't want to be disparaging but where I had the scan done is renowned for not great reporting.
This is the second scare I've had in the 4 months since I have finished treatment. My 1st mammogram showed a mass. Both times I have been a complete basket case with worry and anxiety. How do we move on? How do we not panic every time something is not quite right with our bodies? I need to be grateful that it wasn't the other way around and that they said everything was fine when it wasn't. I need to be grateful that everything is alright. I need to breathe.
Thanks so much for all of your best wishes and thoughts. Karen xox
