After 7 and a half months of being cut open, poked, proded, pricked, scanned, infused and zapped, feeling like crap, tired, hair loss, weight gain, sore and red, taking this and that, it is finally over. Don't know whether to laugh or cry, might do both. One thing is certain going to have a drink tonight.
My treatment is finished!!!!
You are not alone, Renata. I am seven years plus after my diagnosis and most days are wonderful but locked into the back of my head is that little damned niggling voice...!! I am sure everyone is the same. You are not honest if you say you don't feel that way sometime and I think it is best to have a cry, acknowledge what has happened (a HUGE lot of awfulness) but then get going again. Every day above ground is a good one as they say and those who cry over turning 40, 42, 59, 60, etc should embrace those milestones. We have two choices! It is just that soemtimes we run out of energy. (Love from someone whio is looking down the barrel at turning 60 in less than 2 months hahaha.)
