Latest News.....

I just wanted to let you all know that last night was my 30th and final radium treatment so it's all over.  I have been thinking of many of you who kindly responded to my "Decisions - Help Please" and wondering how you are going.  My skin which is very sensitive coped reasonably well with the radium and I found the Moo Goo great.  We elected to have the treatments at night preferably after 7.30pm and this was fantastic - quick trips in and out - during the day in Brisbane it would have been a traffic nightmare.  This way we still had our days free for outings with friends etc.I am planning to attend the forum in Brisbane tomorrow - maybe some of you may also be going.  Anyway, I wish you all well and really hope that you have had positive results from your treatments.

    Hi,  Congratulations on finishing.  Now it is time for you to sit back and rest.  The first time I had radiation back in Dec 2006/Jan 2007 I was exhausted at end of treatment but this time Feb/March 2011 I recovered really quickly - in time to start chemo!!!!!!.  Still waiting for my mojo to return.  All the best XLeonie

    Hi,it's nice to hear that you are over radiation treatment.You can move forward now and get some normality back in your life.I've just passed the 1yr mark with a clear mammo in May.My head is covered in pesky curls but am grateful for any hair really.I see my surgeon every 3mths so no escaping them just yet. I think it will take another year before I feel more confident about my future.That's how long it took last time.In the meantime I'm working and about to move house so keeping busy.
