Last Herceptin

I will come to the end of my herceptin treatment on Thursday! It has been a long road - diagnosis, mastectomy, six months of chemo, five weeks of radiation, ovaries removed and twelve months of herceptin - although the herceptin ran concurrently with some of the above! I am now on those pesky hormone repressors for the next seven or so years but I am very much looking forward to the end of those intravenous treatments and my three weekly visits to the chemo ward!

I think I sense a celebration coming up!

  • Congratulations on coming b to the end of a huge road. I didn't have herceptin, and finishing active treatment was bug enough for me.

    Enjoy your celebrations, Lyn

  • Congratulations!!!! I am so happy for you. I had my 9th Herceptin today. Just 8 more to go and although I am over half way it still feels like a long way until I finish. It's good to know that it actually does finish someday. Hope you have a nice celebration you deserve it after the year you have had.

    Take care
