Last appointment

I had the final visit to my radiation oncologist last Thursday....I felt thrilled to pass this last milestone. My skin has healed really well and the tan has almost disappeared! Although I now have a baby pink nipple. I've been quite fatigued for the past six weeks and the silliest things have made me anxious. But I feel like I've now turned a corner and I'm more optimistic. Until my next mammogram....

    Hi Anne,

    great to see u can tick another box and continue on the road to full recovery :)

    I had whole brain radiotherapy back in June 2010 (10 zaps)..they told me that the effects (& of course side effects too) of radiation can last for up to another 6-8 weeks post final treatment...I too felt quite fatigued, which was hard to get my head around. when it is such a painless procedure (the actual zapping part) it is hard to fathom that it could make u feel so tired.

    Keep thinking positively..and enjoy turning the the corner and having more energy in the future
