Hi, I have now finished my 6 months of chemo, as well as 6 weeks of radium treatment.
A tip to help the skin recover from constant radium treatment. After 5 weeks of radium I used organic rose hip oil on the total area, but not the tumor area to be treated during the final week. I found this oil to be very soothing and repaired the area within 2 weeks. But do not use the oil on any area to be treated as it will make the area burn MORE.
Am happy to be finished treatment, but was surprised to learn that chemo side effects can take 18 months to disappear. I have bad aches and pains most of the time, as well as swelling of feet and ankles and heart palpitations mainly at night. Chemo brain is disappearing slowly.
