Hi Mary and Mandy Thank you for your thoughts and well wishes. I did bounce back yesterday and made the most of it by catching up on some housework. Nice to get things back into order. Spent today at the Launi hospital with my husband who is going through a health threat aswell. The day ended with good news and we're going into this weekend with a sense of relief, positive thoughts and determined to keep the good momentum going. I really appreciate your posts, particularly when you both have had a very busy week. Enjoy your weekend See you again soon xx Silke

Chemo does take a toll on us and you are doing the right thing in taking it easy on the harder days. Just remember it is doing what it is meant to.

Mary is 14 years and I am 10 years post breast cancer, take strength form that!

I really wanted to participate today, but I'm on my back after last chemo round. I am annoyed with myself I couldn't recover in time :( I did however see the footage on a television news break today, which put a smile on my face. Re the Encore program; my oncologist did not give me the go ahead (medical form), so I will have to wait for the next one. I hope you all had a great day today and you have a wonderful evening xx Silke

I just wanted to jump in here and recommend the Encore program.  Mandy Page is terrific, the pool sessions, the exercises and the guest speakers are wonderful.  So much fun, so many giggles, with people who are on the same page!!  Definetly worth doing.

is Tuesday 7th October, Silke, and although it will be in the evening (and our Guest Speaker is Lorraine, who you have met- she is talking about her role as a Pastoral Volunteer at ST Vincent's hospital (in Lonny!), ) I am holding a Mini Field of Women all day at the Cancer Council building.

So if you happen to be around do drop by for a chat. We will have over 100 Pink Lady silhouettes placed in and around the centre, to highlight breast cancer awareness.

But once I am back I will ring you to arrange a proper meet up... maybe with Mary too.
