Just diagnosed with DCIS
Hi, I have just been diagnosed with DCIS. I am about to start the process of a masectomy & a flap reconstruction. Hoping to talk to anyone that has gone through this.

HI i have been diagnosed with DCIS also, but have a suspicious lesion in other breast on MRI, they tried to locate it and do another biospy on friday but it didnt show, I have know since the 20th of March but as surgeon has been away only seen he once and now she is going away again, I dont have private insurance so jsut have to wait, hopefully will be able to bilateral mastectomies and was hoping to have immediate implants but will probably have to end having the tissue expanders as she wasnt to keen on the other, mental torment of having to wait so long is worse than anything else, hope you are getting prompt help, happy to talk anytime.
