I know its a shock, but try not to stress to much. I was told that until they actually remove the PT and test it, you don't really know what you are dealing with. I also found my PT and it was around 5cm when removed. I had a lumpectomy, with regular follow ups, but to some degree they treat case by case, as they can vary in size and grade. They grow amazingly fast. The biggest thing seems to be getting it removed with wide margins. Hop on to the FaceBook page if you want to read more.
