Tough news on the redundancy. Yes. By law you do not have to disclose anything that is not a current condition. Many HR folk are over zealous. ( kind phrasing).
If you do not currently have cancer you don't have to say anything about it. The fact that it might reoccur is irrelevant. 1 in three people get cancer. You are no more of a risk than someone who has never been diagnosed. Good luck with the job hunt.
