  • Hi Jenny, very sorry to hear about your diagnosis.  I was diagnosed in September (just after my 36th b'day), had an axillary clearance and L masectomy.  First round of chemo was at the end of October.

It is so shocking, isn't it, when your first diagnosed.  There are not enough words to explain what you go through.

But, I have found this forum to be so informative, and our 'pink sisters' to be of so much comfort, support and encouragement!

In the short time I have been on this journey at least 5 other women have been diagnosed and joined.  Even during this early stage Jenny, know that you aren't alone!  We're all here with you and thinking of you.

Sending you a big hug & look forward to chatting,

    Maxene xx

  • Hi Jennifer, what a shock to the mind and sole, hey!   As Chris said on this site we have all heard those same words and it is the worst words in the world. Words that each and everyone of us never thought we would every  hear. Words you wish were just a dream.

There is lots of info on this site and lots of wonderful people both male and female that can pass off their knowledge to help you through this dreadful time you are about to embark on .

You'll  feel lots of different emotions throughout your journey so just remember that despite being different in type, size, shape or grade we are all connected through this dreaded disease some way or another. We are all here to help each other get through this Good luck with your mastectomy and treatment plan. Cheers Joxx
