Ivf drugs
HI everyone. Has anyone done ivf in between surgery and chemotherapy starting. My window of opportunity is only small as I don't won't chemo to be held up because of it and I want to be able to speak ...
Hi, thanks Narelle for recommending me. Sharon, I did IVF this yr between surgery and chemo. chemo got pushed back by a 2 weeks so I could fit in IVF.
Speak to your ONC however being triple negetive you shouldnt have to worry about the risks of IVF and cancer.
I think you have to decide if IVF is important to you and how you feel about that.
The actual process wasnt that bad on my body, a self injection everyday and some day surgery to get the egg collection. all very minimal compared to what I have been thru with my other treatments. I nearly didnt do IVF coz i felt so rushed and didnt wanna risk my body or put it under anymore stress. However now I am very glad I went thru it. My husband & I now have 4 frozen embroys in Melbourne IVF.
Think about it, talk to all your specialists & ur family. Its a very personal decision and only one you can make. Please feel free to contact me with any questions etc.
Some people dont even get the chance to do IVF so if they offered it to you they must be confident they are not putting you at risk. I felt very lucky I got the opportunity.
