Hello There,
My name is Emma and your post struck a chord with me. I too was 34 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer (11 months ago). It was the biggest shock for me and my family and I have never cried so much in my life! My diagnosis consumed my every waking thought for the first few days. I was extremely lucky to have so much support around me and I really hope you also have this help.
In a nutshell, I had an immediate mastectomy, followed by more surgery when my lymph pathology results came back positive, this was then followed by Chemotherapy (6 sessions over 18 weeks) and then 5 weeks of radiation. I am now considering reconstructive surgery and hope to have this done next Feb.
I kept a blog of my journey and would love you to read it (if you feel up to it). www.emmataylorsjourney.blogspot.com.au
I also put together a video of my journey that I would like to share with you.
