Thanks for your reply! That was one of things I had to get my head around, especially in the hospital and on arrival at home, was that the "recovery period" was going to be a long one! LOL.
The nurse told me today that my reconstruction was well done and that my abdominal wound was going along very well - in fact i wont need as much bandaging around the sides as much from now on. I will still need the acticoat bandage on the centre bit though.
All going along well. All I need now is a job!! (for financial reasons as well as for my own self esteem). Where abouts do you live? I live in Hackham West, which is a suburb of Adelaide.
