Just to let you know that I had 3 (and more) rounds of FEC so I totally agree with Kathryne's advice regarding, taste, ulcers etc. I was given an icy pole each time I had it as the nurses told me it helps with the ulcers...don't know if it did or didn't but hey I wasn't going to knock back a free icypole!! (Getting in touch with my inner child there!)
Emotionally each person's journey is very different. For me it was just another illness I had to cope with, in this lifetime as I have had a myriad of medical conditions and illnesses. It also helped that I have worked in Hospitals and Medical Specialists for the past 20 odd years, so I had some idea of what they were on about (no fooling this little black duck I can tell you!).
