My oncologist said the same, and the benefits with chemo are high. I am on herceptin, with 2 rounds of chemo to go, then I will continue with Herceptin for 17 more rounds every 3 weeks. I was also terrified with chemo at the beginning not knowing anything but after my two rounds, coming up to my 3rd on Friday, it is doable physically & I got through it, as much as you can get side effects. But in saying that every individual is different. I'm glad in a way I'm doing chemo because I know these treatments are giving me the best chance to kill every single unwanted bad cell in my body. if there is any. I'm getting all, chemo, radiation, Herceptin, possible hormone treatment also. I agree with @Afraser it's not as bad as I thought it would be.
