No, I didn't go on that path because Herceptin is more effective when used in conjunction with chemo. Chemo's reputation is well deserved in some cases but not in all. It may not be as bad as you fear. Your oncologist is proposing this regimen to give you the very best chance of a full recovery. We all know how daunting it sounds at the very beginning, but many of us now look back and it seems not so bad, and best of all, a long time ago.
