Inverted nipple and sore hot breast
Have an inverted nipple on same side as lumpectomy 6 months ago so mammogram , ultrasound and needle biopsy Monday. Results Tuesday and my wonderful surgeon on leave 3 more weeks. Had blood test and sample of nipple discharge (?) sent to the lab. On antibiotics now too.Am worried is recurrence -had radiotherapy May and on hormone therapy past 7 weeks with first Prolia injection - did not expect problem so soon - have to wait and see

and yes I totally understand it's harder when you sort of know what's going on - my experience too ! - All things considered who'd thought saying you've got an infection is great news! We do, we get it! That is great news! Take care

Good news. Thanks for letting us know. Hopefully the antibiotics will do the trick and that the biopsy results are negative to any nasties. At least you've been checked out so your mind is more at peace.

Summer :-) - Dear ladies , My nipple inversion appears to be the result of an infection as blood test,mammogram,ultrasound are all ok - awaiting results of fine needle biopsy and continuing with antibiotics . Am glad it was checked though as is still an indicator of ILC. Thankyou for your support.

Summer :-) - I got a spot in my scar line which turned out to be a pressure sore from sleeping on my hand with a ring on and being numb I was unaware of tbe pressure. I was terrified it was a local recurrence and had weeks if poor sleep worrying.
It sounds like infection and retraction due to radiotherapy but I so hope you have results soon. Kath x - A good cry is often in order @Romla and hopefully helps to make us feel better xx Lesley
