Dear Kathy Wells, I am quite surprise at your e-mail, to be honest I always thought this is a democratic network where we could express our ideas and thoughts freely, I was clearly incorrect.

I am a scientist with over 8 years experience in research and for what I was reading in that website I could not see any suggestion as a "cure", by contrast they mention several times that people should search for many options as cancer is a complex, multifactorial disease. I am sure you agree on that.

If you take a moment and check on pubmed, a respectable link for medical papers you will see how many peer-review manuscripts talk about Hyperthermia, meditation, exercise, vitamins and others "complementary therapies" to help you to improve your chances to overcome cancer.

How you ever thought why surgeons/ oncologists /radiologists, etc suggest their patients to try "everything" when they think there is nothing else they can do? When they think their patients are "incurable". More importantly, how you ever thought why those patients survive despite the odds by changing their life style? I did, and that is why when I was diagnosed I researched and talked to my oncologists about my "complementary therapies" and they are happy for me to try, because they agree they do not have all the answers to cancer yet.

Lastly, I would like to hear if possible what your professional opinion on causes of cancer is. I quote what you have express in your e-mail "We don't support the views expressed in it, particularly in relation to causes of cancer....."

I would like to add that I do not want you or any member of the BCNA to worry as after your e-mail “Word of Caution” I have decided to not participate in this network anymore to avoid further problems.
