Infusion Port Removal
Hi to all, need to get an updated picture on here quick smart, my hair is long enough to put up now! I have just finished my first year back since return to work after Cancer treatment. I have just passed my year of study, and just finished Certificate III in Community Pharmacy, as a Pharmacy Assistant. Now my husband has a job in Sydney, and we are moving to North Sydney in the new year leaving the tranquility of Tasmania behind us. I wanted to stay but the work opportunity has called us back to the Mainland. My tranquil, and peaceful world about to disappear. The year with Cancer for us was minor compared to what followed on from that, it kinda made my year diminish in comparison. The passing of my husbands best friend, issues in his work place, and now his Mother has passed away, life does continue, regardless of our health. So in the mean-time, I have the all clear - so far- and having my Infusion Port removed after the year of treatment, and a year of flushing it out every 6 weeks. I am crossing my fingers for employment , my continued health, and hope that each year I remain Cancer free. I will now relinquish the role as the Fascilitator and pass on that baton to some one else.
I wish you all a Happy Christmas, and that there is a light at the end of the tunnel for you. I only take life one day at a time now. We still both need to keep working and we still dont own a magic wand.
I intend to hop back onto BCNA from time to time and say hi and to see how you are. I also hope to remain Cancer Free.
Good luck, xxx hugs to all from
Belinda McKenna
