I'm so relieved
Hi Everybody,
I finally got called in to see my surgeon today after my appointment was cancelled last week, my case had been discussed and there was some sort of mix up anyway I saw my Surgeon ...
Hey Anita.
Sorry to hear your back into surgery.
I had the lumpectomy about 5 weeks ago, 17 days later a Level 2 Axillary node surgery.
It was much more difficult recovery then the lumpectomy.
5 weeks down track, got infection and 2 seromas, but I think I'm an exception, from what I hear a lot of women recover well.
My best advice is to stick to all exercises etc and maybe have pain relief .I toughed it out a lot and in hindsight I think I should have had more pain medication.
Just visited hospital and they've put me on 2 new antibiotics to fight the infection.
In saying this I have not been raging sick, just going along this level of illness that hasn't lifted and just feel yuck a lot. And I know that it shouldn't be like this.
Will be praying for great surgery and recovery for you.
Anotherbit of advice, the ice page between arm and breast give enormous relief. Only have the ice gel packopartly icy, very cold but not frozen as its too harsh, hard and painful when that cold.
Smiles to you xxx
