im home yay

so yay im home nothing better than walking in the door of your own home instantly feeling better...... i am very impressed with the service provided by the breast cancer association and mcgrath   foundation they supplied me with a breast care nurse and a little show bag with your very own brand new fitted bra and a lot of booklets with valuable information.....i had a bit of a reaction to the tape so all i have done is itch (you know how hard that is to do when you are so dam sore) anyway no show without punch i suppose .........im feeling ok just a  bit uncomfortable even though i look like i have been hit by a bus..... so the first stage is done its time to heal and then get on with round 2

  • Well Shazza glad 1st stage done seems you get better info in Oz than UK. I had my own breast nurse -was in for 12 days never got  nu form till after my first expander.(To go in mastectomy bra). Now even tho  have implant because of size diff i just wear ordinary bra with uplift in (one side only). is good to get home tho own surroundings own bed. Take care luv keep us informed.xxooxx

  • It so good to get home isn't it. You instantly feel better. I too had alergic reaction to the tapes and dressing. I ended up with blisters which was more painful then the actual mastectomy. I cant speak highly enough of the McGrath Breast Care Nurses and Foundation. All the goodies youget ..it's just like Christmas or your birthday. What surgery did you have and what is your next step?

I've had 2 lots of FEC chemo and 4 lots to go the 12 months Herceptin and TAmioxifen for 5 years.

I wish you all the best and dont for get to let us know how you are going. We just love gossip!!!

    Take Care (((HUGS)))
