My Oncoligist hasn't really said too much, she wanted the gyno to rule out uterus cancer, so she could put me on tamoxifen....I don't see her until the 15th May, the gyno said he would send her a report & his main concern is getting the uterus out for biopsy he is also taking my tubes to lessen the risk of ovarian cancer & is going to check the ovaries to make sure they are ok...he said I'm in a low risk of getting ovarian cancer it's women who have gene mutatation with strong family history that's the real worry... He said after menopause ovaries still continue to produce hormones to stimulate bone health!! Which lowers the risk of osteo & heart disease...he does make sense & He did say that sometimes the breast surgeons & gyno don't see eye to eye!!!which unfortantly makes it hard on us because we are the ones left with making a choice of what to do... Still My gut feeling is to keep them...I was also canceled by a lady gyno who said the same....I have sent my forms in for genetic testing as the onco referred, but haven't herd back yet & that was weeks ago..I'm glad you are happy with your decision & hopefully I will be with mine & can I ask you what kind of problems are you having on the Arimidex..... Thanks Viv:) take care.... Christne:) x
